Liz joined Blaine Family Veterinary Hospital in August 2020 as our Lead Technician, however, her rescue’s partnership with the clinic began in 2016. Liz runs Rescued Pets Are Wonderful, a rescue which focuses their efforts on those homeless animals which are in need of intensive medical care. She attended Metropolitan State University where she majored in Humane Education and Shelter Management, and she has been in the veterinary field for about 10 years. She shares her home with her long-term boyfriend, her stepdaughter, and 5 rescue dogs, all with medical issues–Peevee the pitbull, Boomer the golden retriever, Timmy the 2-legged chihuahua, Cricket the Yorkie, and Dixi the lab/shepherd mix. Liz is fortunate to be able to combine her love of science & innovation in veterinary medicine with her passion for animal rescue.
